Nataliia Baryshnikova Shelvy is originally from Kyiv, Ukraine. At the age of 10 she attended professional Kyiv Ballet Academy where she studied ballet, character, and partnering dance for eight years. After graduating Kyiv Ballet Academy, Natallia performed with the Russian Imperial Ballet in Moscow.  During her time in the Russian Ballet performed in over 500 live performances in over a dozen countries throughout Europe and Asia.

 

Nataliia moved to the United States in 2008 and proudly obtained her U.S. Citizenship. Since she moved to the United States, she discovered her new passion teaching ballet. Nataliia has been teaching ballet at multiple dance and ballet studios throughout Virginia, Missouri, and Illinois. 

 

Nataliia, her husband, and their two children moved to Fernandina Beach in December of 2025. Nataliia is looking forward to shaping the next generation of ballet dancers.
