Meet Ms. Carol

Miss Carol joined RAD in 2021. She originally started to dance as a means of physical therapy from a tragic accident which handicapped her from the age of five years old. Starting with the Little Theatre School in Brooklyn, N.Y she studied Ballet, Jazz, Theatre and Tap, plus Voice with Annette and Joanne Edwards. By age 10, she had earned a place at the Professional Performing Arts Studio, studying with the Phil Black Professional Dance Studio, The Harkness House for the Ballet Arts, and the Broadway Dance Center with John Travolta. Her New York performing credits include modeling and performing with the Radio City Rockettes, the Carol Burnett Christmas Show, a Crest Toothpaste commercial, performing All That Jazz for Bob Fosse, Harold Prince's Fiddler on the Roof, off-broadway in "Our Town" and the role of Ophelia in a summer stock "Hamlet."

As a dance teacher she taught dance at the Phil Black Dance Studio, Broadway N.Y, the Cummings school of Dance Davie, Fl, and the Henderson County Recreation Center in North Carolina. She was a Talent Competition Judge at the South Florida Fair and assisted with the contestants at the Teenage America Pageant.

Miss Carol has an awesome son Raymond. Carol and her husband Jim are MS Activists with the National Multiple Sclerosis Society and also have an MS Support Group in Fernandina Beach.
