Meet Ms. Alexandra
Born in England and raised in Portugal, Alexandra Carroll began dancing at age three. At nine, she was accepted at Elmhurst Ballet School in Great Britain where she learned English and had lead roles in The Sound of Music and Pal Joey. After graduating from Elmhurst with a degree in Classical Ballet, Jazz, Tap and Musical Theater, Alexandra performed in numerous musicals, cruise lines and dinner theaters across America until her amazing son Liam Carroll was born.
Upon arriving in Amelia Island, she saw a need for dance education and founded Kinderstudios, bringing her love of the arts to children and families in Nassau County. She founded Kinderstudios in 2007. The school grew and became Royal Amelia Dance Academy of Amelia Island in 2012. RAD offers a generous variety of all types of classes - dance, theater, music and acrobatics. Alexandra chooses instructors who bringing experience and excellence. She encourages teachers and students to participate in real-world applications of their chosen art - whether that's dance competitions, community theater productions or the Amelia Island Dance Festival. Alexandra puts the best interest of each student first, and nourishes the talent and strengths of every child who comes through the door.
