Tierra Schoff
Meet Ms. Tierra
Ms. Tierra joined RAD in 2022 to lead the Amelia Island Acrobatic Arts program.
Ms. Tierra is a Georgia native who started dancing at the age of 3 and later began her gymnastics career at the age of 6. She fell in love with competitive gymnastics as it incorporates a balance of dance, acrobatics, and tumbling. She trained as a competitive gymnast for 11 years, until she became a powerful level 10 gymnast. Tierra was not only a powerful gymnast, she was also a strong leader in the gym and the community. She was the captain of her high school gymnastics team, and became the first gymnast in her county to claim multiple state championship titles. She also used her talent and leadership skills to represent her town as Miss Wildcat in the 2015 Miss Georgia Pageant Competition. Her powerful, yet elegant contemporary dance performance led her to win the Miss Georgia Top Talent Scholarship Award.
In 2015 Ms. Tierra retired from gymnastics and began collegiate cheer at Georgia State University, where her team won the title of CheerSport College Division Champions. During her time at GSU she was also a member of the GSU Dance Ensemble team, where she was named choreographer of the year in 2019. Tierra majored in Speech Communication and minored in Special Education at GSU. She went on to graduate with her Bachelors Degree in 2020, and became a Duval County middle school teacher.
Ms. Tierra’s love for teaching exceeds the academic classroom. She began coaching gymnastics at the age of 13, and has continued to shape the lives of countless gymnasts, tumblers, and dancers to this very day. Ms. Tierra hopes to inspire her students to reach goals, develop a love for their craft, and have the confidence to believe in their abilities.
